Hello new followers! I’ve published on early modern English poetry in manuscript and print, women writers, and quant approaches. I’m currently running a project where we are computationally modeling the circulation of verse in MSS. We’re working on an exciting application of AI to support that work.

I don’t understand why Tesco gave me a single green apple instead of the lemon I ordered. I feel like there’s a metaphor here, but I can’t quite find it.

if you’re going to RSA, you definitely need to come to our roundtable about the revived Abraham Cowley edition (which was started in the 1980s, published one volume, and then all the editors died). All I’ll say is: there is going to be spirited amateur singing during one of the presentations.

The earliest jointly-appointed professor of English and (Computer and) Information Science, to my knowledge, was Sally Sedelow at UNC-Chapel Hill. It was 1966.

I just watched (!!) the first Old Man and the Three with Cam Johnson, and I remain convinced that Cam must be one of the nicest people in all of basketball. If we can't have him back in Phoenix, I'm glad that he gets to play with Jokic.

I like the implication that one can just “sign up” for the NBA like a local rec league
