If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.

My daughter was sick when I picked her up from school for the start of my Christmas break week with her and her brothers, and while I'd trade places with my miserable sick baby in a heartbeat, it is still such a special privilege to be the one to care for her through influenza B.

Don’t tell me I shouldn’t care what other people think because that simply does not apply here, sorry.

My kingdom for the ability to cross stitch so I can make a little thing for the bathroom featuring Tom Bombadil and this part of one of his songs:

You shall clean grimy hands and wash your weary faces; cast off your muddy cloaks and comb out your tangles!

Every time I'm on the Ohio Turnpike and I cross over Waggoner road, I think of @brentwaggoner.bsky.social and I do a little something like this

Almost halfway through the book! The oldest is still fully engaged, and the second oldest is mostly listening. The youngest complained when I turned it on today, but he also giggled when Tom Bombadil told the hobbits they'd only get "grass and rainwater" if they were late to breakfast. 🤭

I am so proud of this woman for fighting as she has. I can't imagine it was easy to persevere in the face of such cruel carelessness.
Statement from Maria Farmer: “This is amazing. Thank you for believing me. I feel redeemed. This is one of the best days of my life. Of course, it's mixed with the fact that I'm devastated about all the other little girls like Virginia who were harmed because the FBI didn't do their job. 1/
HUGE NEWS from the new Epstein files:

Records show that Maria Farmer, who worked for Epstein, filed a "child pornography" report to the FBI in 1996.

The FBI has never before acknowledged that complaint. The case went nowhere, and mass abuse followed.

Watching a Christmas classic with my kids in this hotel tonight: Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey (Netflix).

It came out when my second-born was nearly 5, and bless him but he called it "Elijah Ding-Dong" for the longest time. 🤔

If you haven't seen it yet, it's a must!

The 18th-19th century Great Awakenings aimed at a religious revival that would increase the Christianization of American society. Respectfully, that's one of the most dangerous trends right now, especially within the US military, and is the last thing progressives should promote.

I read this as "Alabama" at first and I was more incredulous that the animas were flown to Germany than I was thinking that this happened in Alabama.

A lion and bear rescued from captivity in northern Albania arrived in animal sanctuaries in Germany in early December after authorities in Tirana discovered they were being illegally kept as pets on a private estate. https://cnn.it/4qlnfEr

My kids might have an ice day tomorrow due to the weather & resulting road conditions. It's doubtful my ex will let me pick them up earlier, even though it would mean being able to get to VA without needing a hotel, getting out of the bad weather, etc.

Either way: I GET MY BABIES TOMORROW!

🚨🚨🚨BREAKING NEWS 🚨🚨🚨

I interrupt your daily doom scroll with an urgent report of a thrifted Viking themed baby outfit ‼️

An eyewitness tearfully described the clothing as having a booty flap and a charming Nordic motif ‼️

The pint-sized fashion plate was unavailable for comment. 🏃‍♂️💨

Shoutout to the me who signed up to bring donuts to my 4th grader's Christmas party AND made a reminder in my phone the morning of. I had it in my mind that the party was Friday, but it was, in fact, today! Had the reminder not chimed at 8, I wouldn't have had time to get treats and make it on time.

Do you know what I cherish?

"We vacuumed a path through the basement. The pillow cases are freshly bleached, but stained - my mother in law wears heavy foundation, even to bed."

"I'll be in and out; eat whatever you can find, I'll see you later this afternoon."

My people. ❤️
