"Stop killing people" pretty much sums up my politics these days, whether we're talking genocide, covid, the environmental/healthcare/housing crisis, food insecurity, police brutality, lack of disability rights, attacks on LGBTQ+ folx, no access to reproductive medical care, etc etc etc. Just stop.

“But I wouldn’t describe our foreign policy as feminist foreign policy,” he said.

That's Carney saying we do not have a feminist foreign policy.

If you're doing a "Well, actually..." on me right now, you've been brain rotted by partisanship and you're engaging in bad faith debating.

No more feminist foreign policy, Carney says
Prime Minister, who made the comments at the G20 summit in Johannesburg, has placed less emphasis on feminist policies than the Trudeau government

The rationale behind these studies, Seltzer contests, is [that] “it presumes that the patient had never heard of exercise until a doctor told them [it] exists.”

Thanks to Simon Spichak for putting this idea into print. I've said multiple times in interviews that it's the strangest part... 🧵

I'm laughing so hard I think I hurt myself.

This is it. This is the soundtrack of my chronic pain lol.

I have phone anxiety & brain fog so I always write down what I need to say before making calls. If this hold music played it'd completely derail me. Like forever. I'd never use the phone again.😂

Whoa, this is amazing. Also terrifying lol.

Reminds me of Sunshine, one of my favourite movies. Cue Adagio in D Minor.

This account makes me so happy. It's like little aquariums popping up in my skyline as I'm scrolling. A welcome reminder to enjoy something for a moment and "just keep swimming" through all the bad news and everything that's happening lately.🐟

Thanks a lot, guys. Way to ruin Interstellar* for me. It was just, you know, one of my favourite movies ever. No big deal or anything.

(*Anyone bashing my taste in movies gets blocked. I know people love to hate on this one.)

The government claims it will “benefit men and youth by improving prosperity and good governance.” 🫠

Hospitals across Canada are closing their ERs because there aren't enough doctors to run them. Millions don’t have a doctor. Millions more can’t get an appointment.

It didn’t used to be this way. Turns out it wasn’t an accident.

Super job, Canada. /s

I know Bluesky isn't exactly a hotbed of anti-vax sentiment, but too many Canadians here like to point the finger at Americans when we badly need to clean up our own damn house.
UPDATE: Canada has announced that it has lost its measles elimination status.

This is a direct result of the increase in anti-vax disinformation, which has caused large, sustained outbreaks in the country over the last year.
