It feels like everyone's just gone "forgone conclusion 🤷♀️" about the conflation of genuinely useful machine learning techniques with terribly destructive generative model techniques in the term "AI".

pretty glad to have a job where being too sleepy to get out of bed because I accidentally put an order of magnitude more progesterone in my body than intended isn’t an issue

I spent hours today failing to figure out why the turning resistance of a knob on a client device randomly changes every few hours - the friction mechanism is my own design so I really wanted to find the flaw..
..anyway, it turns out human perception of force-applied is just really variable 😵💫
