So glad I’ve never been a Discord user
"The company has informed some users in the UK they may be part of "an experiment" with Persona, an age verification vendor whose investors include Peter Thiel, co-founder of ICE's premier surveillance provider, Palantir."

Cool cool cool coolcool
"Impossibly, despite its attempts to pacify the ensuing outcry by issuing a clarification that merely some users will be required to submit to its child detection matrix, Discord has managed to make the rollout of its global age assurance policy seem even grimier."

Played the Pragmata demo. The little girl has black skin in the demo but apparently that turns to white skin at some point. That seems…fraught?

Happy Birthday, Joe Estevez! Almost fitting that it's on Friday the 13th. Let the Festevez-tivities begin!

Watched this back in college mostly because I had a serious crush on Edison Chen after Infernal Affairs. It wasn’t great!
This is your regular reminder that in the year 2000, Paul Rudd, with frosted tips, appeared in the Hong Kong film GEN-Y COPS as a bad guy (kinda). In the movie, he does martial arts, fights a robot, and, most shocking of all, does an entire scene in Cantonese.

Noem just got shivved
“.. Noem and Lewandowski frequently berate senior level staff, give polygraph tests to employees they don’t trust and have fired employees—in one incident, Lewandowski fired a U.S. Coast Guard pilot after Noem’s blanket was left behind on a plane ..”

Capcom has given us roughly twenty RE9 trailers in the past nine months and yet I feel they’ve revealed like 10% of the real game.

This aged pretty well. A very early and ambiguous GOW remake announcement and a shadow drop of a long rumored game that looks maybe good.

Lots of games shown I want to play but still curious what the rest of PlayStation Studios is up to. And where’s Fairgames?
Still a few(?) minutes left but was expecting more Sony first-party announcements of new games. None so far I think.

Very curious what “remake” means for this one
"God of War trilogy..." Oh my God, finally! 😀

"...remake" Huh? 🤨

Loved playing Returnal but hated the punishing structure. Saros could be extremely my shit.

My longshot but still possible hope is something Chrono Trigger related. Sure maybe a remake/remaster but just a port on modern consoles would be enough for me.
What ya’ll got?

This is why I hate these kind of biopics. In order to license the music the filmmakers have to play nice, so of course they won't cover the darker elements. It's basically just sugarcoated marketing for the artist in question.
every time i see an ad for the michael jackson movie i feel like i'm losing my mind because... it just seems to a traditional generational talent music biopic and like... i feel like there are parts of his life that should probably be touched on outside "he was really good at dancing and singing"
