Fifty years later and we are right back here—except the government killers are armed with heavy weapons, masked to hide their identities, arrive in unmarked cars, have been told they have absolute immunity, will not be investigated if they execute anyone, and have pardons metaphorically in hand

CBP chief Bovino has confirmed that the officers who executed Alex Pretti in the street yesterday are not only *not on administrative leave,* they have all been reassigned to other jurisdictions and are all on the street today.

This is totally unheard of for any officer-involved shooting

Be clear on the fact that this regime will keep murdering us in broad daylight until the people behind all this are removed from power. Not quarreled with—removed from power.

If any part of you thinks this will get better or stay the same rather than get exponentially worse, stop thinking that way.

This is like jingoism, but this jingoism is nihilistically pushing planet-wrecking carbon extraction. Taking control of oil reserves is Trump’s objective, while the world gets hotter and cities face rising sea levels. But every month lost to nihilistic policy is a month we can’t get back.

A good move, hopefully there’s follow-on, because Twitter is compromised.
This has always been a Bluesky-first campaign. But as of today, we will no longer be using Twitter. At all.

And I'm calling on other candidates to follow suit.

Plastics in our own bodies and every part of nature now.

Large corporations producing commodities like oil, gas, coal, and plastics-from-oil etc. are going to kill this planet and kill us, if a social movement doesn’t stop them.

We nearly have a Cat 6 hurricane, one of the strongest in history. And yet the climate liberals have gone silent.

This is the horror of a hotter world, and we have to stop it before things get totally out of control. There’s no alternative.
At 185 mph maximum sustained winds, Cat 5 Hurricane #Melissa is now just 7 mph shy of what @michaelfwehner.bsky.social r.bsky.social & Jim Kossin have defined as the cutoff for a prospective "Cat 6" hurricane:

Just don’t buy beef. Argentinian or American. It causes massive GHG emissions, deforests land, and is killing the planet. Eat something else, your children’s futures depend on it.

Why do I even need to say this? Big Ag like Big Oil and Big Tobacco is a master of coverups and manipulation.

So now our coral reefs are poised to die, because we don’t push our leaders to share wealth and decarbonize, to avoid losing them forever.

I’ve seen our reefs—homes to incredible life. The Earth is our Mother, there is no other. So we’re just going to let CEOs kill them off for gas and oil money?

Farewell to Jane Goodall 🌿 A pioneering scientist whose groundbreaking work with primates transformed how we understand ourselves. She showed how research and advocacy can unite, inspiring generations.

Jane was such an inspiration to me and so many who work on protecting our planet and animals from harms. And such a champion for chimpanzees and others. I only saw her live once, but I won’t forget.

It’s a terrible loss, and she will be sorely missed, but what an amazing life to have lived.

In April, the AAUP & our Harvard chapter sued the Trump admin for demanding that Harvard censor speech & restructure core operations or else face $8.7 billion in funding cuts.

We hope this decision clarifies to Harvard’s administration that bargaining w/ tyrannical authoritarians is unacceptable.
