Mobilizing Canadians to advocate for a publicly funded national #disability insurance plan for those with lifelong disabilities.
We need more people, both #disabled and #nondisabled to get on the #publicly funded #National #Disability #Insurance #Plan ( #NDIP ) bus for those with lifelong disabilities and their loved ones.
Much more noise is required. One voice, one plan. WE DEMAND A NATIONAL DISABILITY INSURANCE PLAN !!!!

This petition isn’t getting nearly enough signatures. Do people not care at all about persons with disabilities and how it can affect their families, just because it doesn’t affect them? Just sign it and be sure to confirm the verification email that follows.

You simply can’t get rid of #disability and #poverty, without getting rid of the cost of disability first. We can do this by creating a publicly funded national disability insurance plan #NDIP for all those with lifelong disabilities.

As the 1% blame the 99% all the problems are because of them.
The richest man on earth owns X.

The second richest man on earth is about to be a major owner of TikTok.

The third richest man owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

The fourth richest man owns The Washington Post.

See the problem here?

But is the crack big enough to let the light shine in for those with lifelong disabilities and their families left to shoulder the cost of disability through no fault of their own?
That light is a National Disability Insurance Plan. Sign and share this petition:

We’ve laid the groundwork that would dramatically improve the lives of those with #disabilities and their families in #Canada. Now you need to do YOUR part. Share and sign the petition, but also tell your MP to include it in the fall budget.

@meidascanada.ca should support a publicly funded national disability insurance plan to revolutionize the disability support system in Canada. It’s time Canada meets its obligation under the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Sign and share:

Great information.
Any infection has the potential to turn into sepsis if it spreads into the bloodstream. Because every minute counts, it’s vital to know the symptoms.

Amalie is back to walk you through the warning signs and urges anyone who suspects sepsis to go to the emergency department right away.

#disability support services fall far short of what is required. Many think disabled people are well looked after. This is far from reality.

My latest interview

“It’s really hard to trust people at this point, especially the government,” Tremblay said in a Zoom interview with the Star. “We’re at the point where we’re dying or we’re losing interest in politics altogether … #Canada’s a lie to a lot of us.”

If you’re not disabled, you’re just not disabled YET. #NDIP Tell your MP you DEMAND A NATIONAL DISABILITY INSURANCE PLAN. !!!
Permanent disability opportunity.

Disability ♿️ is 24/7. No time off.

Less than $2/ hour for pain, isolation, food and housing insecurity.

Sound too good to be true?

See why we need a publicly funded national disability insurance plan! End this nightmare for disabled.

So many “strategies”. How about one solution for all. A publicly funded national disability insurance program for all those with lifelong disabilities based on need from cradle to grave.

I would add: lack of administrative support, deceit and trust.
The hardest part about being a teacher isn’t the kids.

It’s knowing all the things we should be providing for kids to meet their needs but can’t due to a lack of time, space, and resources.

It’s watching vulnerable kids slip through the cracks of a broken system.

This is why your child is not getting Educational Assistant support.

This is why there is no Special Education Teacher to help your child catch up on basic math or literacy skills.

This is why the ventilation in your child’s classroom is not working.

Not minimizing your work here as 2 wrongs don’t make a right, but we also have our own genocide of disabled and poor in this country.
We need a publicly funded national disability insurance plan for all those with long-term disabilities from cradle to grave.

Could it be more than resilience? Is there still hope, bravery, fear of death?
If we had a publicly funded national disability insurance plan for all those with long-term disability, wouldn’t there be less need for this extreme ‘resilience’?
It was nice to see Thomas back in the Gore Park line today. He lost his fingers this winter from frostbite. He uses his thumbs to pull his grocery cart and when I hand him food he always tries his best to grasp it and says thank you. His resilience brings me to tears. #Onpoli #canadasky #hamont
