Absolutely brilliant thread.
Written English has barely changed in 300 years. If you can read Harry Potter, you can read Robinson Crusoe (1719).

So, erm, I still haven't listened to it, but the song in question is an song in question is basically instrumental backing track to a reading of a poem by an Israeli poet who served in the IDF during the Nakba.
Not sure I can handle listening to a U2 record to find out whether they are for or against Israeli settlements in the West Bank.
U2 have emerged from a long hiatus with a surprise six-song EP, 'Days of Ash,' where they address political flashpoints around the world, including ICE raids, the Iranian uprisings, the war in Ukraine, and Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

Sad to hear about UK Hip Hop producer Simon harris. Music of Life label had some bangin' tunes late 80s - early 90s. Lot of 'em got sampled on early Rave tunes. I put a little mash together 🎶

People talk about this stuff in terms of how much it'll suck for gaming and I hate to inform you how many MRI machines, X-Rays, all sorts of other vital machinery are just a Windows IoT Edition PC in a beige plastic box with a big magnet/accelerator/whatever attached.

Every documentary about musicians in 1970s NYC is like “gigs weren’t steady at first so he had to start working once a week at the Strand in order to afford his loft on Tompkins Square”
With every death of a beloved old actor, it's worth it to look at their wikipedia page on the start of their career.

Notice how when they started, they could literally afford both money and time to act while working shit jobs. They didn't have to get 3 jobs just to pay both rent and bills.

This kind of talk will only result in Mom & Pop landlords fleeing the market.
A business partner of Jeffrey Epstein – who once asked the paedophile “will you have a baby with me?” – financed two Dublin housing developments and an Irish tech company. One of the housing developments charges students more than €1,600 a month for a studio flat.

Rev. Jesse Jackson's "I *am* somebody..." remains one of the all-time great pieces of 20th century rhetoric / agitprop

And he could deliver it at a Black separatist meeting, the Democratic National Convention, or on god-blessed Sesame Street (see below 🥹)

Here we go again.

We need an “agent of change” principle in this country. They knew there was a club there but skimped on the sound proofing.

This stuff is on purpose. They shouldn’t be rewarded for it. It’s entirely their own fault.

Yamamori has been a Dublin institution for over 30 years. These cunts couldn't even respect the fact that 'their' hotel has been called the Central Hotel for 100+yrs and have renamed it the very Irish name "Hoxton" and now are complaining about noise on THE BUSIEST nightlife street in the city? 🖕

He's a third-generation blueshirt, with multiple relatives who've been FG elected representatives, whose chief achievement has been to turn a landslide election victory into a poll rating *exactly* like that of Fine Gael and in similarly-record-time. He has literally turned UK Labour into FG.

Uniquely for this sort of Walter-Mitty type proposal the fact it involves construction in Beaufort's Dyke isn’t even the most.... explosive... aspect here.

Obscene, the Irish government facilitating the US government and ICE in the illegal deportation of Palestinians. These men were held in shackles on a private plane owned by a friend of Trump through Shannon Airport. Our government must answer to this

New polling on Ireland's housing crisis:

- 81% want the government to build more social housing "even if there are local objections"

- 64% disagree government is making progress on housing

- 67% would vote for a constitutional right to housing

- 29% are personally affected by the housing crisis
Appetite for radical change grows as voters’ patience wears thin over housing crisis
Half of all voters say country’s problems are getting worse instead of better
