Read some of the stuff written by Irish hunger strikers who survived. These people will suffer the impact of this on their bodies for the rest of their lives, if they survive and, at this point, that is getting increasingly unlikely.

What about if they just got on with all the “unactivated” planning permissions for apartments or houses? There’s tens of thousands of them.

Politicians on Liveline will argue that torturing and murdering foxes for sport is fine cos lots of people “partake in it.”

But god forbid the huge numbers who “partake” in the recreational use of weed or whatever.

Yer all just criminals & there’s no chance our laws will ever catch up to reality.

As 2025 draws to a close, one moment stands out. The strike by school secretaries & caretakers showed what happens when long-ignored workers organise. As things stand now, the issue has been referred to the Labour Court with the union warning that further strike action “cannot be ruled out.”

The British state has used every method they can to isolate and break the spirits of the 8 prisoners who stand with Palestine.

They are now close to dying & the British state doesn't care.

Irish people know hunger strikes. We know British oppression.
We know colonialism.

These people have been held for months without trial, the earliest date they may get a trial is in January 2027. Classifying them as terrorists means they have no access to their familes, and they will be held in those conditions for the entirety of 2026.

Yesterday, I visited my constituent, Amu Gib, who has been detained in HMP Bronzefield without trial since July.

Amu is now on Day 39 of their hunger strike, yet there is complete silence across our mainstream media.

This is an emergency. They must be granted bail, now.
