it's not necessarily something I'd want for *every* Sonic game story, but I think looking at Sonic Colors' story as more of a one-off 'back to basics' sort of deal does work rather well for me.

While I don't consider Sonic Colors' story to be some masterpiece of storytelling, I've always had fun with it personally. It is simple, but the dynamic between Sonic and Tails is surprisingly good and there are few jokes that still get a genuine laugh out of me

Haha, the story and setting was the only thing I *did* love about Colors when it came out! Took a while to warm up to the rest.

Colors has my favorite story because of the heart, humor, and earnestness of it. Sonic & Tails' big bro/lil bro dynamic is great, and Eggman is absolute perfection.

Interesting, what would you say puts Adventure 2 below Adventure and Colors?

I've actually never finished Colors because I found the story and gameplay uninteresting but I know it's beloved.

I didn't buy the Galaxy ports since I didn't feel they were worth the price and didn't provide enough justification to purchase them but like

I'm not gonna shame people for buying the ports, at the end of the day I have bigger things to worry about than people buying a bing bing wahoo game

it is a bit weird to me how people use ‘lisa the vegetarian’ as a reason to hate lisa simpson because i actually think she was kinda justified in that ep

As an Overwatch fan I've basically been feeling this since I first played it

Like there is a ton of valid criticism against it and how Blizzard has managed it but man it's annoying how much people feel the need to be negative and bad faith whenever it's brought up at all

I actually used to get flak for bringing this kinda thing up, but I still feel the same way.

Criticism is always okay. That's not the issue.

The issue is when a person goes out of their way to punch down on something someone else enjoys.

Sometimes the best thing you can say is nothing at all.

At this point in my life, I simply choose not to engage with the negativity surrounding Horizon. In retrospect, it is so weird that folks will appear out of nowhere to scream "BORING!" And I'm like, okay?

There are games I don't enjoy and don't pounce at the chance to talk ill about them.

There's a new setting in Settings: Privacy & Security.

Scroll aaaaaaaalll the way to the bottom and you'll see "Text and Image Generation."

TURN IT OFF.
