Proposal: Scrap the Cass Review in favour of the Bass Review, a plan to rework trans healthcare in accordance with the values established in Sega Bass Fishing. Which basically entails leaving trans people alone and focusing on more important things like Dreamcast era 3D fish and bespoke controllers.

-and the introduction of the Fairy type and ESPECIALLY Mega Evolutions was really exciting. It only introduced 72 new Pokémon, but I think that actually makes each one stick out more in my memory, and it made some REALLY big changes that have served the series well ever since IMO.

Don't think I have a favorite regional dex, but my vote for best roster of newbies goes to... hm. I'd give it to gen 6. Love Aegislash and Klefki and Hawlucha, all the starters were peak ESPECIALLY my boy Delphox who was the first Pokémon I ever got to Lv. 100 without Rare Candies-

As well as this, I feel quite strongly that the increased prominence in recent years of social media influencers who engage in nothing but ragebait content and harassment has proverbially sucked all the air out of the room, content mills producing bullshit at speed who dominate gaming conversations.

1. The gaming press has been decimated by business suits, and the whims of an uncaring search engine behemoth
2. Doing the job means you get death threats and harassment
3. There are more games released in 1 week than there were in entire months in 2015

I loved it as much as anyone in 2007, and considered it a huge improvement after Sunshine was such a letdown...

But Galaxy 1's predilection for yapping at you and making you walk back to the hub area before you can get back to playing the video game has always made it really hard to go back to.
