To all the young people in New York and across our country who count on gender-affirming care:

I won't let this administration come for you, your doctors, or your lifesaving health care.

Your health care is still legal and protected.

I'll always fight for you.

God forbid HHS work with an organization that supports science-based interventions for children in this country. Spiteful, dangerous stuff.
I'm told that HHS has just terminated all funding agreements with the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Here's a letter HHS sent canceling one of the grants, relating to work on birth defects. Canceled because the project "emphasizes equity, diversity, and inclusion as key foundational components"

Trigger alert, but truly despicable. While we may want to move off from these scenes, we have to remember that these thugs have the full backing of the current administration, and via their silence, the Republican party. Silence is not an option.
MINNEAPOLIS: “We kept yelling ‘she’s pregnant! She’s pregnant!’ — they put their knees in her… the handcuffed woman was dragged on the ground…”

Lawless.

One of the biggest moments of my career:
USCIS canceled my client’s naturalization oath ceremony. We filed a lawsuit, went to trial, and the judge swore him in right there in the courtroom!

NEW: One of the most significant accomplishments of the Trump Admin: Decimating the US's humanitarian aid.

We went to S. Sudan to see the effects.

Rubio says no one has died from the cuts.

Spoiler: That's not true.

Congresswoman Ilhan Omar's son was pulled over by ICE and forced to prove he is an American.

Two options:

1) ICE deliberately targeted him.

2) ICE is stopping all non-White people without any probable cause and forcing them to prove they are citizens.

Hard to say which option is scarier.

Poverty is a policy choice. Concentrated wealth is a policy choice. Inequality is a policy choice. None of it is natural or inevitable. Remember: We have the power to build a system that serves the many, not the powerful few.

WOW; a DEEPLY corrupt move by the immigration courts; clear collaboration with Trump admin officials to produce a specific result with zero notice to the party and ALSO in a situation where the judge facially lacks jurisdiction; the judge had denied a motion to reopen and the case is on appeal.
Judge Xinis ordered Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s release in part bc ICE could not produce a final “order of removal” to deport him. So last night, they went out and got an immigration judge to issue one.

Now, Abrego is urging Xinis to block his redetention. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

Even more draconian than I originally thought...other than being just God awful on a human rights basis, do they not understand that tourism contributes about 2 trillion $$ toward GDP? Truly need to send these clowns back to high school economics
They would never let me into this country if I weren't already here
In addition to 5 years of social media history, CBP would also require tourists to provide all phone numbers used over that period, any email addresses used in the past decade, DNA and iris scans, and the names, addresses, birthdates and birthplaces of family members
Including children

More to the point, Zinke put yet another bullseye on the backs of the Congress members who spoke out... disgusting and dangerous.
If telling troops they must disobey unlawful orders is sedition, you’re gonna have to hang all the military academy instructors, boot camp drill instructors and training manual authors, along with every member of congress that authorized the UCMJ by voting yes on the most recent NDAA.
