Hey! I'm Falco, an Autistic disability and queer advocate, author, art hermit, and heart patient!

Struggling with weekly rent and monthly bills! Cannot work, MUST stay housed to survive.

Please read on for shop, sponsor, and support links! I'd love to design custom mandalas or text art for you!
Autumn "maskie" selfie! I'm a pale, genderfluid trans man in a wide-brimmed black fedora, an orange feather in the hat band. My brown hair is tied back in a big bun at the nape of my neck with a purple velvet scrunchie, with a thin braid hanging by my left ear. I wear thin blue spectacles, doubled black facemasks, and a black cloak over a floppy-sleeved brown sweater and a black Star Wars shirt. My necklaces are a metal TARDIS from Doctor Who on a black chain, a silver ankh, and a dogtag-style necklace with Captain America's shield.

Behind me is a red-leaved bush. My first name, Falco, in my "Grid Lines" design inspired by TRON. Beveled lines create a circuitboard-like font with circles at the ends of each line. The F has extra arms, and the bottom arm links to the A. The O is just one plain circle. All letters are in emerald green with a neon green glow behind it.

One factor that impedes a lot of young people's attempt to learn home cooking, if they didn't get a foundation at home, is that fast food joints use custom tools, mechanized processes, and strict formulas for how to Make Official Thingy, so they don't learn how to use home kitchens or adapt recipes.

In the pursuit of deskilling the labor as much as possible in order to exploit restaurant workers as much as possible, the big chains fuck over everyone involved.

Just like how people mischaracterized Luddites as being anti-tech when the issue was that they were being devalued, underpaid, and replaced WITHOUT HELP GETTING BACK ON THEIR FEET when machine textile work took over.
jessdkant.bsky.social
One curious thing on this site about speaking out against the encroachment of LLMs is that inevitably you get accused of being anti-tech. I don’t hate technology. I’ve used machine learning in my own code before. But I also recognize that oligarchs are so hellbent on pushing this tech for a reason.

Computers aren't even PETS. They're tools, no matter how fancy they get. And the desire to control something that you DO perceive as a "person?" THAT is a problem. If machines WERE people they would deserve AUTONOMY, not "letting users do whatever with them."
falcoskywolf.bsky.social
Ridiculous how many of these "A . I . hate is racism" jerks... are white and have no real concept of what racism means.

Computers don't need food, homes, healthcare. They cannot actually *suffer.* It gives major vibes of "equity for other races is racism against ME."

No people can survive on only meat. Some can't survive on only veggies either. We're an omnivorous species with a WIDE range of choices, and it's ridiculous to try to micromanage what someone else wants to eat unless the species is endangered or something.

Yeah, I make guac a couple times a month and it's no big deal. (My guac is a little untraditional, with almonds, carrots, cumin, garlic powder, and a LOT of cayenne and salsa, bit of lemon juice, sometimes spinach, sometimes onion. But it's damn good.)
falcoskywolf.bsky.social
(I have no qualm with people who eat meat IF they also have no problem with people who don't. If they get judgmental or abusive about meat-is-mandatory or meat-is-manly, it pisses me off.)
falcoskywolf.bsky.social
I think part of it is also the way meat-focused society likes to vilify veggies, especially if they are used in vegetarian or vegan food. Meat costs $2-5 per serving? Normal. A veggie costs under a buck per serving? "That's too extravagant."

What's really silly is the way people act like avocado is such a luxury. In many stores, you can get an avocado for less than an apple. It's just a piece of produce. Guacamole is upcharged because TIMING is everything with avocados. (And because they've trained people to expect it to cost more.)

For once, one of these creeps getting a sentence longer than someone who steals a beer.

Let’s agree to stop normalizing violence.

Let’s agree to stop blaming the victim.

Let’s agree to hold rapists accountable.

They should bear the burden of the label.

They should feel shame.

Our days of feeling shame are over /end

And the penalty for enabling predators should be just as steep. A lot of women commit sex crimes too, and even more of them enable their husbands doing it.
broadwaybabyto.bsky.social
We need to start holding predators responsible.

When men hurt women & children… the penalty should be steep.

They shouldn’t be protected.

Websites like “without her knowledge” should not exist.

Group rape chats should engage us

The Epstein files should be released🧵

I still hypothesize that it's possible that ADHD is simply what happens when an Autistic person's focus ability gets thrown out of whack by chemical imbalances, either in-built or trauma-born.
autismsupsoc.bsky.social
It wasn't until 2013 that it was accepted that you could have both Autism and ADHD, what is colloqually refered to as AuDHD.

make sure you pay attention to the positive stories that go down your tl too. like things the people are doing right, things people in power do right. we don't always get that! AND WE can make it grow.

So your version of a "ceasefire" is, in your own words, that you'll invade your neighbors whenever you feel like it, and they'll just...let you
The Israeli goal is actually "Lebanonization" — but not in the original 1980s sense of armed militias. Rather, it's the modern version: an active ceasefire in which Israel operates from the air to eliminate threats, and on the ground beyond the international border.

I've never really picked up baking much. I've done a few pies and cookies, but I'm not fond of touching gooey stuff, so things like kneading dough have always been offputting.
falcoskywolf.bsky.social
Yes! One of those elements where I go for quality is bread: wide pan loaves with hearty ingredients. One slice is bigger than one from your cheap loaf, so I only need one per meal.
falcoskywolf.bsky.social
That fits me to a T. I'm the kind of guy who carefully tries to avoid spoiled produce or bread, and it bums me out when I miss. I despise breaking anything useful and use things as long as they CAN be used.

That's my idea of a birthday present to myself- some little treats at the grocery store and a few new necessities.
falcoskywolf.bsky.social
I was able to raise enough last week that I was clear for this week too, and groceries, with a smidgen of leeway. I made a $12 thrift shop run and got some PJ shorts, two tees, and a coffee cup.
falcoskywolf.bsky.social
I have some garments that have lasted me over a decade, and they weren't new when I got them.

That hat in my profile pic? It's over twenty.
falcoskywolf.bsky.social
I'm sure I've read it and absorbed it in some fashion but don't recall specifics.

Lasting goods like clothing? I would RATHER find them at thrift shops instead of buying them at whole price. Sometimes you can't help it- socks and unders, for example- but you can fit your life pretty well from a thrift shop. Older items can be more durable, too.

I live much like a monk as well, not just because I'm poor but because there are a lot of "luxuries" that simply don't appeal to me. I'm SOMEWHAT bad about "junk food," but even that is carefully chosen and eaten in moderation.
tyrotcm.bsky.social
Also, I live almost like I've taken a vow of poverty. I don't believe in spending money beyond basic needs on myself, so I generally don't. (Luxuries can be mental health expenses, though. Severe depression.)

I don't see why monks shouldn't live the same way, all the way up to His Holiness.
