My sister is home for the holiday. Which normally, great. She's one of my favorite people. Except one thing.

Possibly the raddest modification in any game, period.
Game is "Void Breaker" a FPS roguelike featuring highly kinetic movement (slides, grapple hooks, double jumps, etc) and a HUGE focus on environmental destruction (you literally heal by chucking shit at enemies). It's pretty rad.

I need like a Fallout 3 style open world game that lets me walk around in first person with a big fuck off gun and right wrongs and stuff and I feel like there's so little out that isn't published by developers I have an ethical stance against (ubisoft and ea specifically).

So, I'm going back to dice matching on ASTROLITH.
Each enemy card shows a specific combination of dice, and you need to spend (discard) that exact combination to overcome it.
That does mean enemies with the same number of dice (2, 3, or 4) have the same difficulty.

I'd like to submit to #ttrpg court (and @theneoncaster.bsky.social ) that cronching is a form of cheating at the table. At least if you use the same die over a long period due to your teeth wearing the die down and thus, changing the distribution of weight of the die and affecting probability.

Semi related. One of my first experiences with racism was getting pigeonholed into being Roadblock whenever we played G.I. Joe.
My mom got me a Roadblock action figure before this happened that I was very proud of.
Didn't know why being Roadblock had me f'd up. I just wanted to be Snake Eyes.

Just got my flu and covid vaccine at my local walk in clinic, uninsured for $44 all together.
They needed a vaccine record and all I had on my was my HPV vaccine record from my gyno and they counted it.
It’s okay to get it now if you still need it. Some protection is better than none

If you are uninsured and need vaccines, including an updated COVID vaccine, look at your local county health services website and find the county health clinics.
Many of them have a walk in vaccines once a week or so, or a mobile health can schedule where you can get up to date for $30 each one

I think I just came up with a solution for how I'll do mapping stuff in #ScarSeal!
A checkerboard. Red pieces are floors and Black Pieces are walls by default. The powers of game entities can push them around or shift the entire board with gravity matching the orientation
