Given the majority of my new followers are here for either baseball or baking, I feel it's fitting to share my gingerbread snowflake and baseball cookies from last year. Big fan of combining my interests when possible 🍪🍽⚾️
#bakesky #baseballsky
We offered him extra time and he oh so gladly took it, far beyond what I expected, so as sad as I am, I feel gratitude beyond measure. I was dreading what his last day would be like, how it would go, etc... and this afternoon and evening with him were as perfect as anything I could have asked for.
🧡
He gave me so much more time than I ever thought possible, and our last bit of time together couldn't have gone better. I'm heartbroken, but equally grateful. Give your handsome B boys extra love from me, please and thank you 🧡
I'll love Bugsy til my very last breath, the same way he loved me until his very last breath tonight. We will always find one another, in every life there is yet to be lived. And if there aren't any after this, I was the luckiest person in the world to wind up with this endlessly faithful companion.
I can only hope they was some maniacal laughable a la Dick Dastardly as they (slowly, and hilariously) got away in their.. getaway bucket?
AI can't comprehend that there was an available appt for today instead of the earliest being 11/25, but I'm sure the AI I was asked to give consent to (I did not) for the sake of the doctor having notes written up for them surmising the appointment would be FINE!
This is fucked on so many levels.
I asked the nurse to take my blood pressure again after talking to me about using AI during my appointment and she hesitated, but did so. My impressively low blood pressure had skyrocketed 🫠.
Yeah. There is already SO much wrong with the medical world/getting adequate care. AI is fuel to the fire.
It's baffling. And as of today, I saw that some doctors are using AI to take notes during patient visits and said AI will help them surmise the conversation had during the appointment. Perhaps it's a boomer take, but I am NOT a fan (I declined the use of AI, and the nurse looked genuinely shocked)
One of my biggest gripes with baking shows/a lot of online baking content is how a lot of baking projects are presented in terms of time they take. Downplaying the amount of time it realistically takes to get through all of the steps sets people up for disappointment. It sucks.
I'm proud of you!
The man I was speaking with sounded so genuinely annoyed and embarrassed that he had initially told me I'd need to wait until 11/25. He said if it were up to him, he'd manually look up available dates like he always had, but was told he HAS to use the AI scheduler first, which he said is often wrong
Had to schedule an ultrasound, called the scheduling office, and was told the soonest appointment was for Nov. 25th. The scheduler said to wait a second so that he could look manually instead of using their new AI scheduler that sometimes overlooks dates. He got me an appointment for tomorrow. Lol.
In the same boat as you two. Thought it was great when it aired (I was 9), found it a couple of years ago and was STOKED, a friend unfamiliar with it came over to watch with me because he saw how excited I was... and I repeatedly found myself saying "...oh.. oh wow. I'm so sorry" throughout.
I want so badly to be surprised by this, but I'm not... and that enrages me even more.
To hand out bottles of water to the cops and telling them they are doing a great job? Yes.

The Columbus Dispatch ran a "what you can and cannot do while protesting article" and listed "Refusing to provide information or providing false information when stopped is illegal."

Folks, I assure you, the Fifth Amendment still exists and you still have the right to remain silent.
This is helpful, so thank you. I will make it work one way or another, but thinking about those that don't have the ability to seek out other options and/or have no one to advocate for them breaks me. My sister and I saw it a lot while our mom battled cancer. This system needs to be ripped to shreds

Hard to think of a more peak ICE behavior than *racial profiling the cop arresting you for driving drunk*

ICE is just a government jobs program for the worst people in the country
An ICE agent, who is being arrested for drunk driving and nearly killing his little kids & others, tries to stop the arrest by racially profiling the officers arresting him. Amazing to watch the courtesy given to him as he is belligerent and uncooperative
Not a billionaire, but after we complained about too big of orders, the head of sales tried proving us wrong by helping mix, shape, proof, bake, and package a huge bread order she created and she not only sliced her hand open, but had a full mental break because "finishing this much is impossible".

Filming podcasts has been an absolute detriment to society. How many dudes on couches pretending to be smart can the internet actually take?
Holy shit, I haven't been to The D in just over a decade and I am SO SO glad to see this machine is still kicking!
Oh, absolutely. Without a doubt. I honestly commend how well she does at making guys with next to no personality and/or that are less than ideal people look relatively interesting. Hard Knocks style, though? Yeah, they'd be unwatchable.
I'm very late to the party but, hey, super, incredibly sorry Stone sucks so much. I hope you land on your feet (in an even better spot)
Annie Heilbrunn did (and is doing, the best to her ability with the access she now has) a good job with not only offering up coverage of guys on the team, but asking questions that get worthwhile answers (unlike some of the stupid as hell questions asked by the PR staff during ST)
Waiting to see if yet another *very much needed* medication prescribed by my doctor is approved by insurance and being warned by my doctor there's a good chance it won't be sends me into a particularly dark headspace. Not even for my own sake, but thinking about how many others are in the same boat.
I'm so sorry. I wish this surprised me. They're notoriously awful, and you can almost guarantee that every time he does some public good deed (like inviting a fan onto the field for bp), it's timed to either of them, or both, being terrible and wanting it covered up. It's been like that for a while.
