I didn't think a US World Cup would be able to top Diana Ross's "penalty" for embarrassment, but here we are.

I liked Jamie's Italian. And the critics are wrong about Mrs Brown's Boys. There, I said it.

The headline, the main takeaway from a European viewpoint is this:

The transatlantic relationship as we know it is over. Yes, we kinda knew this. But this is now official US White House policy. Not a sppech, not a statement. The West as it used to be no longer exists.

Truly shocking that Rachel Reeves had the audacity to call herself the U14 girls chess champions when she won the U14 girls chess championship but some bloke thought she was talking about something else.

In 2005, we definitely knew that was a racist term.
That categorical denial of racism from Nigel Farage got watered down & caveated later: banter, 49 years ago, no intent, not directed at anyone, not in a hurtful way, it didn't happen, I don't remember, how do they remember, I was a teenager, it's political. The about turns makes one's head spin.

Innovative twist on the standard "things you like are actually bad." Chapeau!

I don't think men outside the standard definition of at-risk should be getting regular tests for prostate cancer, privately or through their GP, and this should be mentioned more frequently when highlighting cases of public interest.

Yippikayay, Charlie Brown.
And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you, Charlie Brown.
In the sixth my ass goes down, Charlie Brown.

Labour needs a way out of the infernal circle of immigration policy

I appreciate I am a lily-livered pinko, but if the problem is pull factors attracting people to the UK, can we not, in some small way, make a positive of that?

What annoys me (a Starmer supporter) most about the first year or so of his premiership is that most of his government's problems could have been avoided (and more bandwidth devoted to some of their successes) by simply doing LESS.

Just listened to Dr Runswick of the BMA on Times Radio. Speaking as a member of a famously unpopular profession, I'd advise doctors to get better representation if they want to avoid that fate.

Glad that someone has finally taken responsibility for the appalling assault on democracy that was the Jan. 6 insurrection.

Slightly confused that it's the Director-General of the BBC, but what do I know?

Typed on a smartphone....
Year one: "We can work it out as an estimate"
Year two: "Oh, look, lots of people are dodging the system!"
Year three: "We need to fit mandatory trackers to every car in the country."
Year four plus: "Why shouldn't tracker data be used in evidence? What have people got to hide?"
I don’t think think “estimated road use” is right approach - at the least drivers should have the *option* of getting a black box fitted that just tracks their EVs usage, but come on, Mel, impersonate a serious politician!
