Angela Rayner was hounded for weeks over that house thing & stepped down.

That's not really fair to call it a bookmarks site. They have, in fact, built a crushingly poor user journey experience that sits on top of the education offerings that the ventures partners were already offering to the public free of charge.

Most of us, when we buy something online, can send it back if it doesn't work or doesn't match the description.
Why can't our government do that?

I don't think the Reform Party UK pre-action letter to Kemi Badenoch threatening legal action for the mental health slur against Suella Braverman in her defection complies with the Defamation Pre-Action Protocol. This is either incompetence or posturing.

Is there a fucking film I can watch on terrestrial TV tonight like it's the 1980s or something?

Hero of the day. Tony Slater, who rummaged through discarded McDonald’s litter on verge, found a receipt, contacted the local environmental health officer. Who contacted McD, who used CCTV to work out the car responsible.
Result: £500 fine. 💥

On almost everything – fraud, polarisation, radicalisation, misinformation – evidence suggests that over 60s are in much more urgent need of online protection and education than teenagers.

But that issue gets zero political attention, and is a total non-starter. Nothing good will come of it.
This was a minor story on London news this morning - but suspect is a real cautionary (and alarming) tale of an older man getting radicalised online.

It’s time to ban social media for the over-60s, restrict their screen-time and implement upper-limit age verification.
