According to Birmingham city council, the ethnicity of Handsworth is 25% Pakistani, 23% Indian, 10% Bangladeshi, 16% Black African or Black Caribbean, 10% mixed or other ethnic group and 9% white.

Robert Jenrick's comments about Handsworth represent more of his abhorrent racism. There's no way he can look at the colour of someone's face and tell how "integrated" they are. Also, he went to Handsworth during a bin strike to make a video about litter to smear that community. #ToryRacism

Robert Jenrick complained about visiting an area of Birmingham where he "didn't see another white face" and said it was not the kind of country he wanted to live in.

After highlighting the lack of white people, the shadow justice secretary said it was not about "the colour of your skin or your faith" and he wanted people to live alongside each other.

He told the dinner: “I went to Handsworth in Birmingham the other day to do a video on litter and it was absolutely appalling. It's as close as I've come to a slum in this country.

But the other thing I noticed there was that it was one of the worst integrated places I've ever been to. In fact, in the hour and a half I was filming news there I didn't see another white face.

"That's not the kind of country I want to live in. I want to live in a country where people are properly integrated. It's not about the colour of your skin or your faith, of course it isn't. But I want people to be living alongside each other, not parallel lives. That's not the right way we want to live as a country."

The area's independent MP Ayoub Khan said: "The claims made by the shadow justice secretary are not only wildly false but also incredibly irresponsible. He has misrepresented a storied and diverse community, awkwardly distorting the product of an all-out bin strike to fit his culture-warrior narrative filled with far-right cliches.

He decided that the non-white faces he saw in Handsworth had to be those of migrants: a racist assumption. He then assumed, without evidence, they had not "integrated"; another racist assumption. Robert Jenrick is a racist. It's that simple.

Robert Jenrick spoke at the Tory Party Conference yesterday. He mentioned attending the Epping asylum hotel protest. Did he mention how he rubbed shoulders with Eddy Butler (to the right, ironically), former member of Nazi terror group Combat 18? Hanging out with Neo-Nazis isn't a good look.

Shadow justice secretary Robert Jenrick has attended a demonstration organised by a neo-Nazi party and posted a picture of himself with one of the founders of a terror organisation.

On Sunday evening, Jenrick attended a rally organised by members of the Homeland Party in Epping. The event was addressed by Callum Barker, a local neo-Nazi with a history of endorsing racism and terrorism.

Jenrick later posted pictures of himself with demonstrators, which included Eddy Butler, one of the founders of neo-Nazi terror gang Combat 18. The numerals in Combat 18 refer to the first and eighth letters of the alphabet, referencing the name of Adolf Hitler.

After the demonstration, Butler posted a picture of himself standing directly behind Jenrick with the text, "At the Bell Hotel riding shotgun for Robert Jenrick."

There is something deeply broken in the UK and it has absolutely nothing to do with migrants, especially with 1 in 25 properties being vacant.
This should be the number one priority for the government. Instead more and more homeless individuals are dying.

The journalist said that before he left office, Quispe was challenged by a group of people from the Aymara indigenous group who claimed he had misspent United Nations funds meant to support projects in their community. “He gave back money, which is rare in Peru, but it was because they threatened to lynch him and the Aymara are known for keeping to their word,” she said.

This wasn't the first time Robert Jenrick has suggested there is two tier justice. This 4 January 2025 post displays his overt racism and Islamophobia. He should have been ejected from the Conservative Party for this.

In June 2025 Robert Jenrick attempted to score political points relating to race hate and arson inciter Lucy Connolly, suggesting inconsistent application of the law. He was wrong about Connolly's sentence because he didn't bother reading the judgment. Why would he support a racist if he's not one?

8. By the time you were arrested on the 6th August of this year you had deleted the account. From enquiries made by that police they were able to establish that the individual tweet the subject of this offence remined available for at least three and a half hours.

9. The police were however able to trace other tweets that you had sent both before and after the 29th July which included further racist remarks. On the 5th August, the day before you were arrested you sent a WhatsApp message which included "..raging tweet about burning down hotels has bit me on the arse lol "which is commonly understood to mean laugh out loud.

10. You also messaged that if enquiries of you were made, you would deny you were responsible for the message and if you were arrested you would "play the mental health card ".

11. I have to apply the Sentencing Council Guidelines for this offence.

12. In relation to your culpability this is clearly a category A case - as both prosecution and your counsel agree, because you intended to incite serious violence.

13. In relation to harm it is again agreed, correctly, that what you did encouraged activity which threatened or endangered life and therefore falls within category 1. There is also further relevant factor in relation to harm in that you sought, and achieved, widespread dissemination of your statement by posting it on social media.

14. The starting point after a trial is therefore one of 3 years imprisonment.

15. There is a further significant aggravating factor namely, the timing of the publication when there was obviously a particularly sensitive social climate. It would be difficult to think of a more sensitive such time than during the evening of the 29th July of this year.

16. All of those factors would require a significant increase in the sentence beyond the starting point.

24. The minimum sentence after a trial would have been three and a half years imprisonment.

25. You pleaded guilty at the Plea and Case Management hearing…

December 2024 and not only does Robert Jenrick seek to blame all migrants for what he thought was an attack on the Christmas market in Magdeburg, which is xenophobic/racist, but the suspect was a supporter of far right conspiracies and known for his anti-Islamic views. ##ToryRacism
