Jonathan Ashworth: "I've wanted to see a ceasefire for 2 years"

The collective position of the Labour shadow cabinet (which you were part of) for months after October 7th was to reject a ceasefire & Labour instructed its MPs not to vote for a ceasefire in Nov 2023.

Thanks to our brilliant volunteers, we’ve collected over 50kg of hazelnuts this year! 🌰

Hazel is a key #rainforest species - one of the first to establish in the west after the last Ice Age, 10,000 years ago.

We're working with @wtscotsocial.bsky.social to boost the availability of native trees

The BBC's justification for platforming Farage beyond the actual significance of his small parliamentary party are his polls. A rather cynical explanation, for he wouldn't be where he is without the constant, uncritical appearances he's given on the BBC. It's a (literally) vicious circle.

Fascists, who deep down know they're pathetic and ridiculous, cannot handle mockery. If there's one thing Portland does well (other than dumplings in chili oil), it's irreverent mockery of everything.

I love that we live in a world where we're all supposed to now praise Trump for his peace-making and ignore the fact that at least 20,000 Palestinians have been killed on his watch, with bombs & bullets - & rhetorical support! - that he supplied to Israel.
That's all erased now.

UAE has no democratically elected institutions, no free speech and an appalling human rights record.

Its economy functions on completely different metrics to the ours & ranks well below us for GDP

No serious person would ever think that we should emulate it.

But here's Tice calling us decadent

Yes, Yes. When you are the least popular government of all time, especially with your 'natural' supports, it's such a great idea to keep digging your own party's grave with even more crazy and unenforceable laws

Since the election, anarchists and radical left organisations formed coalitions around common struggles. In 2025 anarchists have made attempts to resume the anti-government protests however, but have failed to reach beyond anarchist and radical left circles.

Workplace drinking culture has become a "national economic problem"

Overall, one in three workers have called in sick after drinking with colleagues over the past year, but among 18 to 24-year-olds, the figure is 43%.

Never mind, soon AI will get drunk for them.

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

Whose old enough to remember when Farage was in the news for allegedly avoiding £44K Stamp Duty re his £850K Clacton house❓

It was days after Angela Rayner had to quit after being relentlessly pursued by MSM, Farage etc re stamp duty..

It’s up to us to stop them burying it so you know what to do 👍🏼
Headline from Guardian about Farage and his dodgy property dealings in Clacton and potentially swerving stamp duty Headline from BBC, who for five minutes, had to join the pack and report Farage’s dodgy clacton house deal and potentially avoiding stamp duty which as we know if your Angela Rayner, you should be sacked for but if you’re Farage…
