‘Defenders of women’ not defending women, shocker. How many times does it have to be said, they are not on our side and one of the reasons they are trying to pit women against each other is so they can divide and weaken us.

Solar activity increased to moderate levels today thanks to an M3.2 solar flare that was just observed at 08:21 UTC (May 19). The source is located off the northeast limb. We should begin to see the possible sunspot region turn into view during the next 24-48 hours.

The UK has dropped massively in both ILGA and TGEU's rankings, which have been published today. This means a material decrease in rights.

This isn't just shameful on the international stage - it means needless misery for so many LGBTQ+ people in this country.

We are at the point in history where Germany is having to lecture the US on the need to fight fascism.
A post by Marco Rubio attacking Germany for tackling the alt right extremism of the AfD. The German foreign office responds. Rubio’s posts says: Germany just gave its spy agency new powers to surveil the opposition. That's not democracy—it's tyranny in disguise. What is truly extremist is not the popular AfD-which took second in the recent election—but rather the establishment's deadly open border immigration policies that the AfD opposes. Germany should reverse course. The German foreign office responds with: This is democracy. This decision is the result of a thorough & independent investigation to protect our Constitution & the rule of law. It is independent courts that will have the final say. We have learnt from our history that rightwing extremism needs to be stopped.

TRUK United Statement on FA’s Ban on Transgender Women in Football from Age 13 Everyone at TRUK United is deeply disappointed and outraged by the decision announced today by the Football Association (FA) to ban Transgender Women from participating in women's football from the age of 13. For many years, the FA had stringent and carefully considered policies in place regarding the inclusion of trans women in the women’s game. These policies involved strict eligibility criteria, including hormone level monitoring, and we supported the processes that were implemented. Under those guidelines, trans women were able to play without incident. They were welcomed by teammates, coaches and supporters, becoming valued members of their clubs and making a positive contribution to the sport. Importantly, there has been no football-specific evidence to suggest that, under the previous policies, trans women posed a risk to fairness or safety. Scientific research has shown that trans women who have undergone hormone therapy do not possess any significant performance advantage over cis women. Being allowed to play football has had an overwhelmingly positive impact on the physical and mental health of many trans women. We know of numerous individuals who have found not only joy in the game but also friendship, community and purpose through their involvement in their clubs. To have that taken away so suddenly, without meaningful consultation or justification, is devastating. The FA frequently promotes the idea of “Football for All”, but this decision stands in direct contradiction to that principle. By excluding an entire group based on their gender identity, the FA isolates itself from the growing number of football associations internationally that continue to welcome trans women in the game. We are also seriously concerned about the wider repercussions of this decision. Already, we are seeing an increase in transphobic abuse across social media platforms. Decisions like this embolden…
