Half man, half cat, complete nonsense.
Just happened to be in the right place at the right time and saved a stack on a Christmas present I was going to buy anyway - I do love a bit of serendipity.

Gonna fill a trenchcoat full of dodgy old RAM sticks and start me some legitimate business.

I don't get the obsession with scanlines. I used CRTs growing up, but they're just not part of the memories I associate with them.
Is this a PAL thing, all that extra vertical resolution squishing the lines down to be less perceptible? Or is it just my terrible eyesight and not sitting point-blank?

I don't get how HMRC keep fucking things up to this degree, but on the other hand: £225 tax refund!

I'm too far gone not to play it now, but I am NOT THRILLED by this nonsense.
"Samus, there's something interesting over there. Are you sure we don't need to use that?"

I feel my soul leave my body...

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond delivers the series' trademark gameplay - but one very annoying addition might derail the whole thing:

Man, if the price is right I'm going to buy every single bit of that new Valve hardware. Steam Deck has been a revelation and I'm surprised by how compelling the idea of a console-style equivalent is. Six times the grunt of the Deck is likely more than enough for anything I care about.

How many trees have TV Licensing burned through delivering idle threats about the live broadcasts I don't watch?

Some fucking dickhead with a flatbed truck and obnoxious strobe lights immediately outside my bedroom window. I would quite like to do a violence.

Picked up a PSVR2 - surprisingly solid with the PC adapter on my laptop, which is not what I was expecting given how jerry-rigged it seems.
Drifted around Google Earth VR and Half-Life: Alyx for a few hours; good stuff!

Apparently Edinburgh council are responsible for the common areas in my block, and they sure don't seem too fussed about fixing the door entry system. Front door is wedged open all day and I can't really leave because any passer-by could boot their way into my apartment without much effort. Oh boy.

Both keyfobs for getting into my block aren't working (which probably means the reader itself isn't working, honestly). Fun!

I hate 99.9% of what's come out of this wave of AI bullshit, but the line “leave her alone, she's open-source” might just live with me forever.

Please look forward to the new Halo remakes retconning the bit where the AI character that shares a name with the Windows 10 AI assistant goes off the deep end and tries to snuff out humankind.

Cloned the office's wireless doorbell with the Flipper Zero, because I can. I'm not sure I could get away with anything more substantial than that.

Ugh, there's that rent increase again. Not as large as last year, but still: to the ombudsman we go.
