Israel culturally & demographically is ever less a western country. Approx half now are Mizrahi Jews ( from Arab countries) & more than 10% Russian. It's increasingly at home.

Has Hamas agreed to disarm or work on a transitional government that will see an end to using Palestinians as political cannon fodder?

It's good to have an agreement and remove what keeps this war going. But removing the ingredients for the next one is what counts. That doesn't seem to be here.

The most frustrating thing about this war is that the US could step in forcefully now with harsh sanctions against Russia and a large military package for Ukraine with ranged weapons as the centrepiece, and the war would end soon with a Russian defeat.

Would be interesting to measure signal strength of the jammer. Perhaps someone smuggled a few of them on land to test. They don't need much power to overwhelm the gnss constellations because that signal is very weak

Isn't it simply that they blast orders of magnitude more watts into the receiver than the constellation (that's -130 dBm roughly). Afaik, shielding a GPS receiver from below and the side helps a little against jamming depending of the strength of the signal.

These nowadays widespread sea level effects are puzzling. From known jammer locations one can not reach this far via line of sight. Space? Ship?
