I love the movement! One cute thing I've noticed they do when hopping towards me from afar for a peanut is that they slightly spread their wings when their speed increases. That'd be a fun animation for a "sprint" mode on the ground! Faster hops, more wobble and wings partly spread :>

So, uh, here's a follow-up...
Follow-up to previous watercolor comic art of a red-breasted merganser doing the courtship dance where it looks like he's drowning and wiggling his butt out of the water. Male merganser: Huhhuhh s'up girls. Did you hear? My drowning butt dance pic got over 1K likes last night. Same group of female mergansers are sitting on rocks nearby. Merganser 1: Dude. No one cares. Merganser 2: 1K isn't even that much. But someone does care. The third merganser has turned around, revealing the words "Fresh Eggs" printed across her rear end.
