The only food I grew up eating that was passed down from the cultural traditions my ancestors came from, to my knowledge, is what we still call “Pépère’s stuffing,” which is basically tourtière without the pie shell. My Pépère made it, my dad made it, and I’ve made it now for many years. 1/
