If you watch a playthrough on YouTube you will never, in a trillion years, experience the game.
You'll think you have experienced it, but you'll be cheated.
It's such a sadness that you think have experienced the game on fucking YouTube.
Get real!

🎖Runner up 4: AimlessJourney ($250)

We watched this one come together over time, and although the artist couldn't fully finish it to their liking, we loved the originality, the bold brushwork, and the beautiful realization of the city.

It's an interesting, wonderful piece.

🎖Runner up 3: Daniel Mihálik ($250)

WILSON!

We were pleasantly surprised by how often Wilson showed up across submissions; we loved seeing him so often! This piece captures the action of Selaco wonderfully, especially for those brave enough to escort Wilson to safety

🎖 Runner up 2: @drdubz.bsky.social ($250)

Not only is it a great composition with a dynamic pose, but the added text commenting on Selaco's meta gameplay was a nice touch. We recall that being added later as a resubmission.

Great work!

🎖Runner up 1: danvo_410 ($250)

Technically complex, dynamic, and awesome to look at. Clearly made by a very talented artist! It reminded us of League of Legends splash art - which is high praise given the quality of their art.

🥇WINNER: Charles Lemor ($400)

This piece is fantastic! We love the striking reds, the contrast on Dawn and that stylish flair throughout. We've always wanted to explore a more stylized direction in our promotional art and this felt incredibly inspiring.

Congratulations!

Not sure what's going on with the GZDoom development drama right now, but to clarify:

No, nothing affects Selaco in any way. We use our own fork, have full control, and operate entirely independently

Question:
If one wanted a C compiler on Windows. How would you go about it? Assume the user has zero knowledge.

It's in an awkward state. Do I tell them to install VS? Clang through Chocolatey? Add TCC to PATH?

And I need JUST the compiler.

Had an idea to write a book on basics of gamedev. Make it free online.

Hypothesis:
The GitHub + SourceTree/GitHub Desktop combo is the primary reason people think Git is hard.

They make the whole process so opaque, it just devolves into a lot of noise.
And if you do know Git, it just makes it hard to do easy things.

I mean
One of these is tedious to read and takes way too many lines to write in order to acomplish any useful effect.

The other is ASM.

Best digital MtG to date. Simply a perfect combo of an RPG with MtG as its combat.
I've been dreaming about a successor (preferably set on Tarkir).

People don't take their foot off the gas for the EU Citizens' Initiative against the destruction of games. Beautiful thing to see.

Smashing through so many roadblocks already, it deserves a historic victory.

Fuck I hate DLLs.

"Can't load this, the DLL version doesn't match"
Okay, where can I get a version that does match?
"This is the latest one, old ones are deprecated and no longer available"
Oh, so can I recompile it to match?
"No it's closed source"
