Yesterday I put on Lessons in Chemistry on a whim. Mom came in at the end, made me explain what was going on, and then watched a couple more episodes with me. Tonight at dinner, she asked if we could watch some more of "that chemistry thing." So that's my evening mapped out.

Now that I've thoroughly watched Heated Rivalry, I've been on the hunt for other things to watch to justify my subscription to HBO Max. Earlier this week I watched Jagged, a documentary about recording and touring Jagged Little Pill. Which led to me listening to JLP for the first time in years.

Posting true facts without also acknowledging the fact that ICE responds violently to these 3 things is irresponsible.

Will you co-sponsor Senator Markey & Representative Pressley's Qualified Immunity Abolition Act of 2026? That's all I want to hear from Congresspeople today.
The First Amendment protects the public’s right to:

1. Film ICE in public

2. Photograph ICE in public

3. Observe what ICE does in public

ICE and DHS officials cannot lay a finger on any American who is peacefully exercising First Amendment rights.

Granted, I liked the imaginary people on the entertainment feed way more than I liked real ones, but you can’t have one without the other.

I watched the first episode of The Pitt this afternoon. I can tell it's a good show, but I don't think I'll be watching any more. At least not for the foreseeable future. The world is heavy enough right now, I don't need a heavy show on top of it.

Best TikTok thing going is the two dudes trying food from every country without leaving NYC. If you haven’t seen them yet, it’s incredible. My favorite so far is last week’s. Legit got me emotional.

Holy crap! Fan edits are one thing, but I can't imagine the work that goes into making *pop ups* of favorite scenes. www.tiktok.com/@paperjulia/...

someday you will be my age
dancing in the grocery store
to the music of your youth
bubbling with a joy
you had forgotten how to feel
but it lives on in the music
it lives on in your soul

People are nearly offended by folks like me who read hundreds of books a year. But like, I see people talking about the hundreds of movies they watched last year, which is equally mind blowing to a reader like me. Maybe we can just agree to like different shit?
