I slept all day. I thought I was getting better but it's back :(

I've thrown up 12 times since 2 a.m. It has not been a pleasant time.

The way I recoil when I see it written as "Baulders Gate".

Hello it's the Hell is Us evangelist here to evangelise Hell is Us.
Hell is Us screenshot: A bedraggled blond boy is wearing glasses and sports a bloody, muddy face. He sits against a wall near some boxes. Caption: Hello? Hell is Us screenshot: the player character, clad in a white cloak, looks towards the moon. It lights a blood-red sky, and looms over stone ruins. Hell is Us screenshot: the player character, clad in a white cloak, faces several ghostly enemies. The sky is orange-red from the fires raging nearby. The ground is rubble, and a strange, spiked dome appears in the background. Hell is Us screenshot: the player character, clad in a white cloak, speaks to a woman in a white coat. The room appears to be a makeshift hospital, and the woman is treating a young boy seated on a gurney. She says: The problem is, we have no idea where they are. And if we could spot their locations, we could plan a route to pick them up before leaving.

If it is even the case where a performer didn't know, it didn't take long for them to find out - and engage in linguistic somersaults to justify their involvement. As far as I know, not a single actor has pulled out.

The answer, in my estimation: class eclipses all other matters.

What are your theories as to why nominally 'liberal' people like Simon Pegg and Matt Berry are willing to work with Rowling?

Today's music: Gösta Nystroem's 1st symphony, in honour of the composer's birthday (13 Oct., 1890). Let's discover him together; he was unknown to me until today.

"I wish you well." - Me, not wishing them well.

After NFS Rivals, Criterion was a skeleton crew for some time. I imagine EA is mostly interested in maintaining one driving game flagship by now. I bristle at the idea that a lack of a Burnout sequel can be characterised as "Paradise killed the franchise, so it's weird that people think it's great."
fiddlecub.bsky.social
This is a really strange framing. Do you think that a lack of additional games in a franchise is the same as the final game "killing" it? From another angle, would you say that high quality is the same as success is the same as greenlighting a sequel?

I am here to once again implore you to play Hell is Us.
Hell is Us screenshot: a mechanic speaks to the player, cigarette in hand. His face is smudged and he wears a workman's uniform. Behind him is a desk with a mess of various objects scattered about. He says: After a while, one ends up in the other one's belly. It doesn't matter who rules over Hades: a king, a politician, or a despot. It will always turn to shit. Hell is Us screenshot: The player character stands ready for battle with a giant greatsword in hand. He faces a giant creature that looks made up of red shards of glass. The environment is an abandoned city street; the air is yellow-red from nearby fires. A sign hanging from the overpass above reads: The Week of Peace. Hell is Us screenshot: The player character stands with a woman in a small room. The yellow-red sky outside the windos is oppressive. She speaks: What the hell happened here?! I feel I'm trapped in some twisted nightmare. I just want to wake up... wake up...

Seeking a place in the Linux community has only reminded of how much people hate me and people like me.

I hate reading Linux forums - and this only scratches the surface. (The screenshotted post is 100% sincere).

LGBT symbols everywhere in Gnome. They even dared to include LGBT flag wallpapers in their wallpapers package recently. That is unacceptable.

Lastly, I'd mention that the first movement has one of my favourite closes to any music ever written. It needs context to work as well as it does, but if you're curious, forward to 15:13.
