"Since eternity, in saṃsāra, there has not been a single being who has not harmed me in the past. If I do not feel mercy for this one, I shall do the same to all beings. Now I bless impartially all beings with benefits. Therefore, I must have thoughts of compassion for this one."

(66) Son of the Buddha, if one who cultivates loving kindness meets under such beings someone who wrongs him and, thinking of this in his mind, he does not have any thought of love, (67) then he should with his wisdom look into himself deeply: 'In my past existences, I must have set a heavy karmic hindrance into this being. This is the reason why he stands today in my way towards the bodhi. (68) If I do not feel joy towards him, then I cannot bring any benefit to any being. How is it possible? (69) Since eternity, in saṃsāra, there has not been a single being who has not harmed me in the past. (70) If I do not feel mercy for this one, I shall do the same to all beings. Now I bless impartially all beings with benefits. (71) Therefore, I must have thoughts of compassion for this one.'

not once have i experienced definitude clear enough to cast aside subtilty. that said, a lot of what passes for "subtilty" in our current rhetorical environment is an utter perversion and desecration of—in imitation of—its better purpose: a spring of compassion in the careful analysis of suffering

this object was used as part of the Yamanote Line Incident, a piece of performance art staged by Akasegawa Genpei, Nakanishi Natsuyuki, and Takamatsu Jirō, who would go on to form the Hi-Red Center group.

my feeling is that is a skew towards Spanish (et al.) stress rules (penultimate syllable when the final syllable is open, etc)
