An introduction: I'm a bookseller of many decades, the main used book-buyer at a new/used book shop. I love our community of readers. Since a teenager I've been practicing Soto Zen and Tibetan forms of meditation. I am a non-theistic Satanist. I'm also a musician and a magician.
When my little man would jump up on the railing his long claws would make him slip because the pads of his feet weren't in full contact with the railing.... so it seemed.

A middle of the night emergency vet visit was the result of just such a stairwell fall. Keep their claws clipped so they're less likely to slip.
