it’s one thing to know that your friends would’ve met a terrible end even if you didn’t exist
it’s another to learn that you were so important for someone that trying to erase yourself from them is the same as erasing them altogether. that you are the reason for their hope, and are irreplaceable

the fourth day of durin’s sq was so good, i loved the thorny path bad ending and i’m glad these two have each other now. wanderer has tangible proof that removing himself from his loved ones’ lives is not the answer and that he’s loved and needed and so important to those who care about him :(
