Drawing of the Day:
Assata Shakur dies, SCOTUS undermines Congress, Netanyahu loses the audience at the UN, and Musk is in the Epstein files
Friday September 26, 2025

Assata Shakur, a Black Liberation activist died of old age in Cuba. Her words inspired many including the famous quote" It is our duty to fight for our freedom. It is our duty to win. We must love each other and support each other. We have nothing to lose but our chains."
July 16 1947 - 9/25/25

Courts are again reducing the power of congress as the supreme court's conservative majority allowed the president to withhold $4 billion in foreign aid congress authorized. Under the seperation of powers congress should control the budget but Trump and his allies are eroding that role.

Empty seats as delegates at the UN walk out in protest during Netanyahu’s speech where he says Israel will continue its war insisting he "Must finish the job "

Prince Andrews and Elon Musk are both in recently released Epstein files that the House Oversight committee recieved. Other names in Epstein’s calendar include Peter Thiel, Bill Gates, Steve Bannon- who did not comment

Donald Trump is trying to criminalize opposition to fascism. What are the real threats—and how can people prepare for them?

We've prepared a zine version of "Make Ready: Safeguarding Our Movements against Repression."

Please print these out and distribute them widely!

crimethinc.com/MakeReadyZine
The front and back cover of the zine "Make Ready: Safeguarding Our Movements against Repression."

The back cover reads "Everyone who is
against fascism is
an anti-fascist. In
seeking to target
everyone who opposes
fascism, Trump is
biting off more than
he can chew—provided
we don’t roll over
and let him win."

There is also a CrimethInc. logo.

🧵The implicit beauty of reading was instilled in me from the womb. I know my mother, who read to me constantly before I could for myself, whispered words to me through her belly. When I was old enough, my grandmother, gifted me ‘The Diary of Anne Frank’ and Helen Keller’s ‘The Story of My Life.’

I put banned books in my little Free Library. I have been listening to the Velshi Banned Book Club and making sure these titles are mixed in. It was very enlightening when a woman stopped and didn’t know who Rachel Carson was and had no idea what DDT did. Change the world a book at a time.

This reminds me of when I was in youth group and we'd have Super Bowl parties at the church, but we'd turn off the game during the Halftime Show and watch Christian music videos instead because we weren't allowed to listen to secular music in church.
