Earlier I posted about Noam Chomsky's valuable contributions to our society. I didn't know about this. It makes me reframe my opinion of the man and his work.

And by "reframe" I mean "fuck this guy."
Epstein emails show close connection with MIT's Noam Chomsky
MIT's famous linguistic professor Noam Chomsky was in regular and close contact with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, according to a review of emails published by the U.S. House Oversight Committee. In t...

It's all in the framing. Let's talk about all the billionaires in the Epstein files. Let's talk about the financial machinery designed to fuck us until we're dead.
The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

He also is totally racist in his language. Since Sally Menke died his films have been bloated, meandering garbage.
Tarantino is clearly a sick misogynist who gets off on hurting women.
There's numerous stories of him stepping in to perform violent acts on women in his films whenever he can (face won't be seen)

The Whole Bloody Affair changed the way I saw Tarantino’s epic revenge film—and so did the reporting about its making.

Enshittification begins with the corporate maxim of "everything for profit, nothing for value." They make money on bundling and unbundling. Who cares if whatever made these things valuable goes into the shitter? The billionaires get even more money. Where does it end?
If this goes thru it will accelerate Hollywood’s precipitous decline. Thousands laid off. Creatives w/fewer studios willing to bid on projects. Fewer choices of what to watch for consumers. Possibly a death blow for theatrical filmgoing. Just terrible news all around

New in PN: A war criminal without a war

"We’re watching the flimsy justifications fall apart in real time. They can try to shift the blame. They can try to say that people clinging to wreckage for dear life are somehow an active threat. But in the end, it’s just murder."

The Kaiser, Stalin, Hitler, King George III, Boris Yeltsin. All were men who lost mental acuity to paranoia and degradation while being surrounded by horrible opportunities who both protected and exploited them.

sounds pretty fucking familiar
The Fate of the Nation and Donald Trump's Brain
Flinging insults, up all night, xenophobic rages, zig-zag policies, crazy pardons. What should we think about Trump's mental state? The fate of Kaiser Wilhelm II offers clues.

The bottom 90% lost a collective $79 trillion in wages over the past 50 years.

Why? Because the top 1% ate up an increasingly larger share of the national income — so that $79 trillion flowed to them instead of the working class.

The greatest trick of all is trickle-down economics.

How a 19-Year-Old P-51 Pilot "Chuck Yeager" Changed WWII Air Combat Forever
In late 1943, the air war over Europe reached a crisis. Bomber crews faced heavy losses once American fighters turned back for fuel. A new aircraft, the P-51 Mustang, arrived with long range, but the ...

It will only take a few of them to leak it to the media. 👍👍
