The admin saying they're "repealing" science
The press just saying it's repealed.

You can't... repeal... a scientific finding. At that point it's just called lying about it.
Breaking News: The Trump administration repealed the bedrock scientific finding that greenhouse gases threaten human life and well being, meaning that the EPA can no longer regulate them. nyti.ms/4rSszQu

🔥Meet the fire snail. Found only in the cloud forests of Peninsular Malaysia, this species is easily recognizable thanks to its bright coloration and large size. It is threatened by habitat destruction and collection for the pet trade.

how mortifying

I got an incredible PhD education at UNC, which included teaching fellowships in Islamic studies

my mentors, in 2007-2012, were already teaching us how to manage hate mail, students reporting you, etc

I’d have left if this was the policy

which I suspect is the goal
“The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill recently rolled out a new policy that permits university officials to record classes without notifying the instructor. It’s a practice administrators have used in the past to investigate professors but have now formalized in writing.”
UNC Admin Can Now, Officially, Secretly Record Faculty
The new policy prohibits students from recording class without permission but explicitly allows administrators to surveil professors for any “lawful purpose.”

I once got in a Slack debate with the editor-in-chief of a publication, a woman, who believed that for society to benefit from genius men those men's abuse of women might need to be tolerated. I argued that the loss of contributions of the women they abused could easily be worth 10x their own.
