Proudly representing North Carolina's 4th Congressional District.
I'm proud to celebrate 113 years of Delta Sigma Theta with my fellow sorors here in Washington!

Happy Founders Day @dstinc1913.bsky.social, and let us continue the lasting legacy of our founders through sisterhood, social action, and service.

I have cosponsored @robinkelly.house.gov's Articles of Impeachment against DHS Secretary Noem.

This is the minimum Congress should be doing to protect our communities—we cannot allow ICE’s reign of terror to continue.

I’m grateful for the courage and dedication of the Crew-11 astronauts as they return early from their mission on the ISS.

Thank you to NASA for prioritizing their health and safety. Wishing the crew a safe journey home and a full recovery.

A 'medical situation' is forcing NASA to end mission at the space station a month early
NASA says a crew member on the International Space Station is unwell. The agency canceled a planned spacewalk for Thursday and is taking the rare step of ending the Crew-11 mission early.

Kristi Noem’s reckless, militarized actions have made communities across our country more dangerous, not safer. The fatal shooting in Minneapolis and other incidents show what happens when force is prioritized over human life.

Enough is enough. She must resign or be removed from office immediately.

I was proud to vote in favor of this bill with @housedemocrats.bsky.social to deliver for working families and restore the tax credits that help our communities access quality, affordable healthcare.

The Senate needs to get this to the President's desk now. The American people can't wait.
House Democrats’ bill to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits has PASSED!

Health care costs have skyrocketed for millions of families and this legislation will help bring costs down.

This is a win for the American people.

It was not an easy decision, but I voted in favor of this bill which will deliver nearly $11.5 million in Community Project Funding to our district and will help avoid a shutdown that would put the benefits of hardworking Americans at risk.

House approves partial funding package as Congress races to avoid another shutdown
The House easily passed legislation to fund several federal agencies and programs as lawmakers work to avert another government shutdown later this month.

Minneapolis is the latest community to experience violence at the hands of ICE and CBP. We saw it in North Carolina too. Federal immigration officers have been abusing their power and violating people's rights.

Our people have said: enough is enough.

Democrats are united. We've forced an up-or-down vote to restore the lifesaving ACA tax credits TODAY.

Time for Trump and the GOP to go on the record. Join us in restoring the tax credits, or keep making life unaffordable for hardworking Americans.

Trump's deputization of local officers to perform ICE duties erodes trust in law enforcement while targeting our immigrant communities.

I joined @heartlandsignal.bsky.social to discuss my PROTECT Immigration Act to end these partnerships with ICE and restore trust across our communities.

The officers who put their lives on the line on January 6 to protect our country deserve more than a plaque in remembrance, they deserve a Congress committed to upholding democracy.

I joined the Congressional Black Caucus in condemning this dark day that has led to Trump's escalating extremism.

The turn of the New Year means skyrocketing health care premiums for millions of families due to the GOP's health cuts.

Families shouldn't have to choose between paying for health insurance or putting food on the table—Congress needs to restore the ACA tax credits to save lives.

Trump’s attempted coup on January 6, 2021 is a stain on our nation’s history that we can never forget and never allow to happen again.

I was proud to stand alongside @housedemocrats.bsky.social to honor the lives lost and those injured due to this unprecedented attack on our democracy.

ICE's killing of an innocent woman in Minneapolis today should appall every single American.

This Administration's lies and attempts to blame the victim are disgusting. We've seen the video—their claims of self-defense are baseless.

I had the pleasure of visiting SECU Family House to learn more about the essential care and affordable housing they provide for patients requiring life-saving procedures. (1/2)

It was great to meet with the GoTriangle workers who keep our local buses running and discuss strategies to expand access to reliable transit across the Triangle.

While the GOP cuts transportation funding, I'll always support local transit that keeps our communities connected.

Today marks the fifth anniversary of the violent January 6th insurrection incited by Donald Trump as part of his efforts to stop the peaceful transfer of power. (1/2)

I am saddened by the passing of my colleague, Representative Doug LaMalfa. He was a dedicated advocate for the people of Northern California, and my thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

Maduro is an oppressive, illegitimate ruler who has brutalized his people and dismantled democratic institutions in Venezuela. But that fact does not give any United States president the authority to unilaterally launch military action without congressional approval.

It is a true honor to represent the Fourth District in Congress. Despite the chaos and reckless policies driven by the Trump Administration and Republicans, I've stood firm for progress, justice, and democracy.

Here’s a snapshot of the work that my team and I were able to deliver in 2025 ⤵️

Americans are paying higher energy bills while Howard Lutnick's family profits from the AI data center boom.

I'm joining @warren.senate.gov and @repdean.bsky.social to demand @commercegov.bsky.social's Inspector General investigate these blatant conflicts of interest.

I had a great discussion with Ben Winters, the Consumer Federation of America’s Director of AI and Privacy, on how Congress can develop AI policy that protects Americans.

Congress must put privacy, civil rights, and consumer safety first as AI transforms our world in real time.

Kristi Noem has a policy requiring personal approval of FEMA contracts above $100,000. She's busy overseeing inhumane ICE raids so the policy is slowing the flow of aid.

Thank you @ross.house.gov for leading this effort to get Western NC the relief they need.

Concerned over pace of FEMA money, Ross introduces bill to change DHS policy
The bill would prohibit a new policy that requires the DHS secretary to personally approve money allocated by FEMA that exceeds $100,000.
