so we're clear, this shit isn't skynet. LLMs are not self-motivating; certainly not self-propagating, at least not in any sense that a virus or a bittorrent magnet file isn't. no intrinsic reason for this shit to dominate our lives but CP or email worms to be things you kinda have to go looking for
scammers in india, the philippines, nigeria, etc already very willing to ruin the lives of people they might run into on the street somehow for the rough equivalent of a $1500 payday. and now the language barrier is lower than ever for these entrepreneurs. disruption brings innovation yet again!
