Look, even if these attacks were completely legitimate acts of national defense (they aren't), treating the killing of people like it's entertainment, rather than a terrible but perhaps necessary evil, is depraved and sickening.

This may explain some people, but how does it explain the many voters I meet who voted for Obama and then for Trump? They are just looking for a savior, and if one didn't succeed, they'll move on to the next who promises even more.

I do think we have a pretty good chance of turning gambling into a genuine popular moral crusade 19th century style, because it's becoming a social evil that's destroying young men's lives in particular but also making sports coverage really shit.
Almost every major news story this week is about how the entire economy is now gambling, scams, bribes and theft.

Snit was the best Braves manager any of us have ever seen, up to and including Bobby Cox. I hate to see him step away bc you know how much this position means to him after 40+ years, how much he means to the players, and how much they mean to him. He fought to make that clubhouse better everyday.
