So I'm setting things up, hooking up the Switch 2 dock as I get things ready not paying a ton of attention to any one thing and find myself trying to put the Wii U Game Pad into the Switch 2 dock because... who knows.

So are The Game Awards™ the official videogame awards thingy now... like the Academy Awards are for movies? It feels wrong to give awards for a year that hasn't finished yet but hey maybe that's just me.

I'm maybe a couple of hours into Metroid Prime 4. 120fps is nice. 5.1 audio is mostly nice (main gun has too much sub). Boss fights still too long. You can invert the camera, but that doesn't follow over to the lock on or the psycho beam that you remote-control. Why not? Will try with "mouse" later!

Bought my 3rd Switch 2 game... which isn't even exclusive to Switch 2. Anyway I look forward to testing out the mouse controls in this new mission on Planet Vulva.

Could things like "Shoot the core!" be an early example of the modern day Radio Buddy? Maybe, but it was super cool to hear back then in arcade games and the like. These days they hold your hand and annoyingly talk you through the entire game.

Aurora Borealis over Denver. Can see it with the naked eye. Never seen anything like that this far south. Supposedly it'll be even better tomorrow.
