OK I searched because I'm a digital pack-rat and I keep stuff like this. It had a floppy drive. In fact I remember using it to convert the Mac file system from HFS to HFS+. That helped save a ton of space, especially if you had a lot of files.

Here's the specs of my first self-purchased computer:

Bought my 3rd Switch 2 game... which isn't even exclusive to Switch 2. Anyway I look forward to testing out the mouse controls in this new mission on Planet Vulva.

Now comes the process of putting all of these magazines away! I took them down to scan individual pages or video them for the doc. At least now I have an excuse to reorganize the shelves. Somehow some issues I KNOW I used to have are nowhere in sight!

Could things like "Shoot the core!" be an early example of the modern day Radio Buddy? Maybe, but it was super cool to hear back then in arcade games and the like. These days they hold your hand and annoyingly talk you through the entire game.

I always end up finding myself back in the projection booth. This time prepping the 70mm equipment for the Kill Bill Whole Bloody Affair dealybob that's coming on December 5. Running some test film here.

Aurora Borealis over Denver. Can see it with the naked eye. Never seen anything like that this far south. Supposedly it'll be even better tomorrow.

Remember when the technically impressive Famicom game Cosmic Epsilon was gonna be localized for North America? And then it wasn't?

I'd like to announce that I'm directing and editing a documentary on Electronic Gaming Monthly in conjunction with @mylifeingaming.bsky.social. This is a passion project of ours. There will be no fundraiser. No ETA yet, hopefully soon. It is not associated with the recent compendium.

One man's life is worth so much more than a retrospective Blue Sky "tweet". But I want to say something. More details coming on Saturday by those who were closest to this situation. I will absolutely miss you @thegamechasers and you won't be forgotten!

Youtube's suggestions on videos I should make get weirder every day. EARTHION'S SLOT??? I hope it means slot machines, but with the title "Genesis's [sic] Love Life"... yeah. This is a 100% real suggestion by Youtube.

This little quip in EGM 161 about the history (and future) of games made me laugh pretty good.
