When prices were going up under Biden there was a constant deluge of news stories about it because the media did not like Biden and wanted him to lose. Under Trump there is not a constant deluge of news stories about coffee prices because they like Trump and want him to win

I have said and will say again that an unintended consequence of zero-tolerance and harsh criminal punishments for A&B is that so many people who desperately need a punch in the nose (or even just a wedgie) never receive one.

Honestly wonder how much of Pritzker talking tough but not ordering local authorities to confront and arrest ICE thugs is (1) genuine deference to the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution versus (2) knowing local authorities are sympathetic to ICE and will ignore him when push comes to shove

I keep thinking about how we teach young kids about the Founding Fathers and how they bravely armed themselves and stood up to King George III's overreach and resulting indignities, and idk how we're supposed to react to events like this raid when that's our national origin story
