Before the podcast, the only reason I started a Reddit account was to look up answers to various tech problems and if I had a vpn on it would block me if I wasn’t logged in. Now I visit a few subreddits and they all tend to get ruined by the same discussions, no matter how disparate the topics:

I’m very unhappy about the aggressive AI upscaling in the Beatles Anthology on Disney Plus. It’s added a whole extra Beatle! Who the fuck is “George”?

I always get bummed whenever a kind of good joke gets obsessed with by nerds so much that it ruins the joke. Even as I was first watching that episode of Rick and Morty I was like “that’s kind of funny, but it would be a shame if a bunch of unfunny dorks made Szechuan sauce a whole big thing.”

I didn’t realize until yesterday that a whole ass sound effect in last week’s episode was messed up and out of sync and like a fool I let it stream that whole week. I’m not mad at myself, just disappointed

I didn’t know that this happened until I started seeing hits from Turkey on my podcast and this is so so strange to me. For an autocrat to just decree by fiat that this is how everyone else’s languages are going to work from now on and the UN just folds
