2025 has been a fantastic year for video games. But if there is a game that I feel no one talks about, it's The Alters. You're the only survivor of a spaceship crash and you need to clone vastly different versions of yourself too pilot a ship to safety.

I really couldn't get into Returnal when it originally came out. I normally Lee Rougelikes but that one I just found frustrating. With Saros in the horizon (which I must okay if only because of daddy Rahul Kohli) should I attempt Returnal again or naw?

Ok so the requiem reveal made me nervous about the new Resident Evil game. The way outta was being explained as an amalgamation of the slow creeping horror mixed with action is sounding very Resident Evil 6 coded. It gives me a little concern.

One game that keeps getting overlooked is The Alters. What an amazing, tense, devastating game. It continued to shock me, even after one of the alters cut off his arm because he was having reverse phantom pains.

Clair Obscur winning almost everything it's nominated for should be a wake-up call to AAA spending hundreds of millions to make games. Like the film industry, the escalation of budgets is untenable.
