I grew up Texan, born and raised there until I was 24. “Remember the Alamo” was and is a rallying cry. But it’s strange how my Texas teachers never impressed on me *why* we should remember. Also strange how certain details were meant to be forgotten. 🧵

There’s no authorization for the use of military force. The Congress has not given that to the president. He hasn’t asked.
