Update: pending charge still present after 15 business days. CC company advised the pending amount will finally be properly credited back "next statement" (i.e. a month from now).

How is any of this permitted in the age of e-commerce? What a first-world hassle 😐

Prepaid my car rental - still had a credit card hold when I rented it (all this is OK with me)...
Rental car returned, hold was "released" on pending charges...
But it still takes 7-10 business days for that pending charge to go away...

Consumers need rights 😑

My story is similar-earned it 3 weeks into my freshman year for qualifying for state championships. It irked my older brother-freshmen never got letter jackets! But I moved to San Jose after my parents' divorce in 1999 and never graduated from this school! 😮 New school's mascot was the same though!
