What every member of my new political party should shout every single day:

Donald Trump inherited the strongest post-Covid economy in the entire industrialized world, and he has singlehandedly fucked it up. Trump has singlehandedly fucked up our economy.

Say it out loud Dems.

The whole "I'm for immigration, I just want legal immigration" bit is looking a bit hollow these days.

The US Administration has banned Americans from *adopting babies* from much of the African continent.

Adopting.

Babies.

What trait do those babies have that, when they grow up as fully American adults, would make them a threat to our country in any form?
On that last post: I genuinely cannot think of any good-faith reason to bar international adoptions from those 39 countries. Under this new ban, consulates will refuse adoption visas for any baby from Cuba, Haiti, Venezuela, Nigeria, or any of the 39 other countries.

Society: this law has never been interpreted in that way and has been assumed to exclude that behavior.

Academic: Here's a way to look at the law so that it can be interpreted that way.

THAT'S NOT THE RULE OF LAW.

Law isn't some kind of academic exercise--it's the very foundation of our society.

Rob Reiner - a person who positively impacted nearly every American

Charlie Kirk - a bigoted piece of shit who continues to harm people from the grave

JFC, the only mention on Fox "News" connecting Trump and Reiner is an aside that his wife was most known for doing he cover of "The Art of the Deal".

Those people at Fox are complete garbage.

Every generation has a point of reference for Rob Reiner.

Meathead for the boomers and older.

Princess Bride/Spinal Tap for Gen X

Or, as my Gen Z children referred to him: "Jessica's Dad"

Funny thing about hockey:

* Complaining is necessary when the goalie is playing badly because, well, the goalie is playing badly
* Complaining is necessary when the goalie is playing insanely well because they wouldn't have to be playing insanely well if the defense were playing OK
