2025 books
Unauthorized Bread by Cory Doctorow is a short but fun story. I listened to the audiobook and the narrator did a great job. It dives in to a future where everything is locked behind apps and subscriptions and a woman learns how to jailbreak her toaster to toast anything she wants. 5*

I'm 40 now so I had 6 check ups/scans/annuals in 1 month. My health anxiety was/is zipping, I have to get another boob ultrasound in 6 months to get a cyst rechecked and I have to decide if I want to deal with minor surgery to remove a fibroid. But for now, I'm done. That was hard but I did it.

I keep telling folks that the right lives in their amygdala and tries to pull the whole country into their amygdala. And if that’s the case the left has to make pulling people back into their frontal cortex a project we take seriously.

Meta *literally just* fired 3600 people earlier this year so they could "focus on AI," and now they're firing *600* of their "AI" people? That does Not sound like a company that knows what the fuck it's doing.
