My favorite aspect of mods: when attractive gacha characters are added as cosmetics for my favorite games I buy. Here I'm playing Vergil as Zani. No RNG required.

Last Halloween, I dressed as Clark Kent (normal clothes & glasses with Superman suit underneath). And my favorite candy from trick-or-treating is a Twix candy bar!
gianttabby.bsky.social
Honestly those are fairly educated guesses! I think No. 2 would make the most sense to look into, since it's akin to anticipating one's favorite TV show

I think I'm out of touch with meme culture. I'll watch tons of clips and it's a lot of wannabe comedians. Or the algorithm isn't do its job right.

Funny enough, I once stumbled upon a vtuber podcast of supposedly big vtubers.
It was difficult for me to tell what their viewers got out of a super casual and mundane conversation.
gianttabby.bsky.social
Maybe. It wouldn't surprise me if it's a question some people just weren't prepared to answer even after watching their favorite streamer so much.
gianttabby.bsky.social
That is something I am prepared to do.

Besides, I love psychology. Half the shit I learn appreciating video games ties into that subject.

That's great Star, but thats not what I'm trying to talk about. 😅
I'm trying to figure out why people watch vtubers for their personality.
gianttabby.bsky.social
Guys, think about the audience's perspective. WHY does the viewer want to watch a vtuber for their personality? What do they gain from that?
gianttabby.bsky.social
My research into vtuber appeal continues.
The next bit I've been looking into is personality. What makes the personality alone a selling point? I never held myself to that standard, so it's very puzzling. I know there are varying personalities, but I always wonder what you do with that as a viewer.

But that doesn't address what I'm curious about. What does the audience gain from it? Being genuine is great and all, but I'm talking about the viewers and how they're drawn towards a personality.
gianttabby.bsky.social
No, it's more like how a personality (regardless of the type) is the main draw for fans of vtubers/streamers.

I'm not asking which personality is the most appealing.
gianttabby.bsky.social
Maybe there's some short-term appeal like cuteness and a few memes, but I don't believe that's enough for long-term appeal. There are vtubers that gain a loyal following with their personality and that's what I'm mostly curious about! It's enough to make people want to do meet & greets or buy merch.
gianttabby.bsky.social
Sometimes I'll check out vtubers (not friends, just strangers) who will do anything and talk about anything. And they *might* be people who sell on their personality. I don't understand it, but I want to! I'm never satisfied with "you just don't get it", it's a lazy answer. I crave knowledge!

I played Return to the Obra Dinn recently. I struggled with it a couple years ago, but tried again and solved more cases.
I highly recommend this game for anyone who wants to test their actual detective skills! Go in as blind as possible.

I'd say each girl should get their own post. Especially if you do a post mid-day and another later in the evening for example. Makes your pop up for people checking their feed at different hours!

I just found out that 2XKO is region locked. Tried to play with a friend in EU via private lobbies, the invites don't work.

That took the wind out of my sails with this game.

Pretty common thing to want. Humans are social creatures. But often times it's hard to tell what the community is built around, unless it's a niche such as fighting games.
