Within DHS, no assassination, kidnapping, rape, trafficking or other brute crime is an aberration. When one hires a private army of psychopathic sadists (using federal $) for better pay than they'd earned turning tricks in prison, it is obvious those are the fundamental purposes of the Department.

American citizens are no longer free to feel safe. Especially if you're gay, any shade of brown, look slightly exotic, professing a faith NOT evangelical.........you get the idea. Even children and the elderly aren't safe.

i don’t think the intention of noting the victim’s citizenship is to imply that one life is more valuable, but rather to shake anyone out of complacency and apathy if they assumed their passport would shield them from the violence and brutality of their own government

We evacuated our kids out of Minneapolis this weekend and my spouse reports that as she drove them out of town she saw "multiple freeway exits where people are being pulled over." It feels like the Twin Cities is being subjugated by a hostile occupying force.

A reporter for Fox News says Trump is sending 1,000 more Border Patrol agents to Minnesota “very soon,” though it’s unclear what that timeline means.
Matt Finn: 1,000 additional Border Patrol agents are scheduled to surge Minneapolis very soon, per DHS sources including a senior official. There's currently about 2k agents on the ground.
