Writer. Scripts, but before that journalism. Still stumbles across a story every now and then. Makes swords, fixes robots, likes cats. Even better in person. I have ADHD and who knows what else. He/Him.

@wheatles.bsky.social remember when you would play a lot of BF3 and wreck people with C4?

This is basically seeing Beyoncé for 7-12yr olds, based on the length of queue and hype levels of those around me @jamiesmart.bsky.social

Today was going to be doing special pockets but instead everyone has to be VERY QUIET. Shhh

I will do this in the next script I write.

In scripts sams are generally a bit slow and die early on.

It's my friends wake tomorrow. Tony. You know Tony, known him since he was a kid, you saw him a few months ago. Totally a guy in his 40s? Tony had a heart attack. His funeral has already reached capacity limits. I know the sort of jokes Tony would have made about that.

Friendship in your 40s is: shouting "I love you" as you walk to opposite tube platforms having not seen each other for four months

An actual hot take: Too many authors are afraid of editors watering down their voice or whatever and not afraid enough of editors letting you put any old slop on the page.

Working on cabling today. It's more of a headache than I expected and I am thrilled. Cables have shape and weight and that will affect the garment. We are at the far edges of pointless human endeavour. I'm just making a winter coat.

Damn. This is amazing. £325 per week, paid monthly, for 3 years - and the result was a profit for the Irish economy:

Post from Threads user rodneyowl: "Ireland has declared the Basic Income for Artists scheme permanent. This will be officially announced in tomorrow’s budget. Details to follow. Congratulations to all who fought for it and the present and future artists of all sorts in Ireland. That includes me 👌We’re just comin to the end of a 3 year pilot scheme. It’s been a roaring success. For every €1 paid out to the 2000 participants, the government got €1.46 back. Can’t argue with that. Other countries are already taking note."

I understand that factually speaking he is the same guy as the person in Spinal Tap who has a lot of guitars (some of which you can't even look at) but also he is not? I guess that is the power of acting.

I know that The Paper is not a real documentary but it's weirdly truthful. I have just watched episode 6. The 'lets make Wirecutter' project in real life at IPC was called 'Project Hermione'. We spent way more time decorating an expensive meeting room with ideas before we did any testing.

If they made a Purge film set in the UK. It would mostly involve booking builders for Purge Day and then protecting the builders on Purge Day while they put up a forbidden extension.

Who would all then be killed by anyone who rents.

We have just established a new rule in our household. Most rules speak to a great injury (No jumping in the shower for example) but this is a rule of joy.

Do art, get pudding.

If you make art in any form, you get a nice dessert. You know a treat one.

I suppose what you are saying is both are correct but one of them could be considered a more traditionally correct answer?

I'm learning so much from my mentions. It is delightful. Share it in the form of a question and see what happens.

Can someone who is better at grammar tell me which one is more correct, and explain why?
1) I wish there were less Nazis
2)I wish there were fewer Nazis

I can't figure it out. Maybe they replaced the creatives with ai and this is what they got?

Hahaha. Yes! This is now what happened in my head.

I believe this is an advert FOR AI but also it is functionally not an advert for A.I.

To me it looks like they are lost (due to AI) and don't know how to fix the car, and the AI is telling them to put the horses inside the 'pipes' to increase the horse power of the engine so the car can move again
A couple next to a car, it's by a field with horses in. It looks like the car has broken down and they are lost.

In the middle it says ChatGPT
