Was given a bottle of the Ffern Summer 25 scent. It's very pretty on first sniff, but there is hardly any sillage. Still deciding how I feel about it, but I think it's getting regifted. That shit is a scam.

Hey, if you’re a Seattle/WA author with a book coming out next year and you have a firm pub date, please let me know for potential inclusion in the Seattle Times’s 2026 book preview. (Space is limited but I’ll do my best.)

Drop a link either in replies or at my email: [email protected].

Hey artists and makers - if you’re seeing very few sales right now, please know that it’s not a reflection of your worth or skill. Across the board, not making back our table fees and expenses, and that’s really scary.

If you can, please shop small this season. We really need your support.

Trying to keep things simple this year, but then sometimes I see a really cute jcrew dupe of a loewe bag, and I want to be a purse princess so bad.

I also received a bag full of perfume from A! Love my perfume friends! 😍
I attended Julefest at First Covenant Church tonight. It was a beautiful service, and I loved getting to hear @annsy.bsky.social sing in the choir! The St Lucia presentation was definitely a highlight

This is pretty uneven, and Kelsey Grammar is doing that thing where he's playing it the way he thinks Rex Harrison would, and it's not great. Tje choreo is A+. Someone definitely loved Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
I fucking love tubi. They have the 2004 tv movie, A Christmas Carol: The Musical, starring Kelsey Grammar. I miss these kinds of television events.

My mother had an old story about how a friend of hers never returned a library book, and one day when paying a traffic ticket, there was a warrant for his arrest on his record. He ended up spending a night in jail. Apparantly SPL used to be pretty hard on people 😄

Tonight's Christmas watch is The Bishop's Wife (1947). Did Carey Grant start the movie trope of angels always showing up wearing beautiful wool overcoats?

One of my favorite parts of working on Rachel Harlow's story was meeting and interviewing all of the elderly queer people she knows, some as old as 90. Their perspectives are fascinating and they can be hilariously blunt. Every old gay man volunteered that Grace Kelly's sister was prettier than her
Getting to know this legend has been one of the greatest joys of my life and I'm so pleased to introduce you to her with this gorgeous feature from the Inquirer, where she speaks for the first time in over 30 years on her incredible journey

Harlow's still here
Fifty years ago, Harlow was the queen of Philadelphia nightlife, Jack Kelly’s girlfriend, and the city's most famous transgender woman. Today, she’s ready to tell her story.

I recently brought this topic up with a bunch of buddies. All mid-50s, very not online. None of them had heard of this “epidemic.” They were so confused by the idea. Then my recently divorced buddy: “Maybe they’d be less lonely if they weren’t such fucking whiners.”

@handsoffnyc.bsky.social is training thousands of New Yorkers on how to protect their neighbors from ICE. Today, they are currently running two trainings in Brooklyn and the Bronx, both of which hit capacity because interest was so high.

This is the way, y’all—we protect each other, and we know it.

A very important thread. When I was probably no more than 10, I saw this picture of the woman known as Harlow in the Philly Inquirer. A little babygay, I was shocked that such a glamour queen could live in my hometown and even more shocked to see her described as "a former man."

I know the King5 tower couldn't do lights last year, due to repairs, but after the Trump election, it just felt like the biggest bummer. Tonight they lit the tower, and I could see them from my apartment. It brought me so much joy.
