In 2022, I got a text from a number I wasn’t familiar with, with a picture of me holding a sign… it wasn’t until a week later that I reconnected with the friend, turned out to be an ex of mine who had changed her number.

I’m somewhat notorious for keeping positive relations with exes.

I think my annoyance at visiting fans taking over my park is going to win the day on this, especially since the Mariners are going to have to play against Canada in the ALDS.

- I hate it when the visiting fans take over my park, which Cubs fans do to the Brewers, so I have a solidarity here with Brewers fans.
- I liked my visits to Wrigley more than my visits to County Stadium/Miller Park/AmFam Field.

- The Brewers were once the Seattle Pilots, which most people see as a positive, but I might decide to hold my grandmother's grudge against them for leaving.
- I like the idea of the Mariners going to the World Series and playing a team with some real history.

I've had some trouble deciding who to root for in the Cubs/Brewers NLDS. Some considerations:

- I have family who are Cubs fans
- The Cubs won in 2016, which was fantastic but may have sent us on the Dark Timeline
- The Brewers have never won the World Series, nor have they represented the NL

What's weird to me about Dick's Sporting Goods is that it seems to me like it's the only sporting goods place doing well? G.I. Joe's went under years ago, so did Gart Sports and Sports Authority. Big 5 is still out there, but feels struggle-y.
